Holiday School of Mathematical Subjects

The Department of Mathematics has organised a Summer School of Mathematical Subjects for students, focusing on selected mathematics courses.

The aim is to offer students with an extended examination period the opportunity for consultations on specific topics. The consultations are not intended to provide a systematic re-explanation of the entire syllabus. The lecturer will answer students’ specific questions and help with examples that they find difficult.

It is therefore essential that students come to the consultations prepared – they should have worked through examples from the relevant topic in advance and know what they want to ask. We recommend drawing examples from the materials for the courses you have completed during your studies.

Consultations will take place according to the schedule at the link Dates and subjects. Attendance is voluntary and no prior registration is required.

Summer School Rules

• Students must register for the extended examination period themselves via the Information System (IS).
• The date of the examination or credit assessment must be agreed individually with the lecturer before the end of the regular examination period.
• During the extended examination period, students have the option to:
  • one examination date (if the course is assessed by an examination and the student did not take the examination during the regular examination period),
  • or one credit assessment (if the course concludes with a credit assessment and the student did not take the assessment during the regular examination period).
