The Department of Mathematics is involved in the study programme General Nursing mainly in practical teaching in the form of exercises in the following subjects:

Informatics and Statistics in Healthcare

This course focuses on practical work with information technology and basic data processing in healthcare. Students learn to work with texts, tables, presentations and orientation in clinical information systems.

Emphasis is placed on practical skills useful in working with healthcare data and in searching for specialized information.

Type: compulsory

Biophysics

The Department of Mathematics participates in teaching the course through exercises that supplement theoretical instruction. Here, students strengthen their understanding of basic physical principles used in healthcare and their applications in diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

The emphasis is on linking theory with practical situations in nursing practice.

The Department of Mathematics is also partially involved in the teaching of Research in Nursing, especially in the area of statistical data processing and interpretation of research results.
